This uses physical files to add thumbnails, and descriptions to each .FLV file.

It's very simple to update, the directions are below:
1) If your video script is n a directory called www.yoursite.com/video/
You upload your .FLV files to that directory to make them available to users.
2) You also upload a .JPG image into the directory located at www.yoursite.com/video/images/
If your .FLV file is named movie.flv then your image should be named movie.flv.jpg
3) You then upload a .TXT file to the www.yoursite.com/video/text/
The name of this .TXT file should be movie.flv.txt
NOTE: This .TXT file can contain HTML tags to add additional features to the descriptions.

This version 2.2 includes the flash version checker to insure a smooth user experience for users that do not have the latest Flash Player .

The included source code in .FLA file format source code can be modified if you have knowledge of Flash

This version uses 1swf file under 5KB in size to show the video, the PHP is used to dynamically create the urls, titles and images for the player to popup using javascript.

It simply passes the url of the flv file to a larger or fullscreen pop-up window which is defined in the player.php file as javascript variables that you can modify easily and control the size of the pop-up larger player window.

We also added a loading bar for those users who are not yet on broadband which shows the filename being loaded for playing. We included a readme.txt file and sample Flash FLV Video files generated using Sorensen Squeeze and a sample iFrame code to easily add the Dynamic FLV Video Player to your website. We also included the .TXT and .JPG files so you can upload it and see it work before modifying it.

The php parses a local directory looks for all the FLV files and then generates a list of the FLV files, file names and the sizes. An easy solution for dynamic Flash FLV movies without needing MYSQL database or Flash Streaming Server. You can download the fla and other source files here.

The advantage to having this feature of streaming FLV files in Flash 2004 is that you do not need Flash Communications server installed to view them, they stream into the browser just like SWF files. You can see from the examples above how easy it was to make video available online in Flash without any complicated server side solutions, this of course taking into account that your are not using any Digital Rights Management to protect your movies like Flash Media Server provides.
